Liberty Hill is one of the most intriguing communities in the Austin area. The small town with about 2,500 people is located northwest of Austin along Highway 29, near Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Reserve and not far from Buchanan Lake. The Santa Rita neighborhood is east of Ronald Reagan Boulevard, and there are additional rural homes there. Homes in this area are often on larger lots and have fewer neighbors because housing is sparser.

Vacation rental homes and townhomes are mainly located south of Highway 29 on streets like Liberty Way, Liberty Meadows Drive, and Seward Junction. To the north of Highway 29 are additional homes for rent off Capstone Road, Limestone Road, Stonewall Parkway, Cary Lane, and Liberty Meadows Drive. Side streets Like Magna Lane, Plexus Lane, Laminate Lane, Rock Ridge Trail, and Prospector Lane may also have homes for rent.
The downtown area of Liberty Hill is where most of the condos and some more excellent homes are located. Liberty Hill Elementary school and the post office are north and west of the downtown area. The intersection of Highway 1869 and Main Street is the main intersection in town. There are many businesses and restaurants in this area, and along Highway 1869 to Highway 29. There are additional rural homes north of downtown and south of downtown. State Highway 29 continues west to the town of Bertram and Burnett and onto Buchanan lake. This is a primarily rural area, but there are some beautiful homes here available to rent for your vacation.
Buchanan Lake is a large lake with lots to do. There is a lake village and a dam, and you can do just about anything you want in the water there, Like swimming, fishing, and water skiing. The Colorado River continues south of the lake, past Inks Lake State Park, Longhorn Cavern State Park, Sunrise Beach Village, and Horseshoe Bay. The river then continues south into downtown Austin.
